Shaun Maloney at nineteen years old shows plenty of promise and is rapidly justifying a regular place in the starting lineup. The Hoops will need to win this game to stay in the shared position at the top of the SPL.

Motherwell’s Nick Blackman is expected to be worked frequently after his dream maiden game start meant his team got all three points against Kilmarnock. It may be an all together different challenge against Celtic but the 20 year old is well up for it.

New signing Matt Derbyshire still has plenty to offer and the fans that travel to Bolton will be hoping for goals from the 24 year old.

Six foot eight striker Zigic is also keen to win over the fans and like Derbyshire he brings plenty of talent to the team. Whether or not Birmingham can beat Bolton on their own turf will prove to be a great talking point right up to the game

David Moyes will be using every tactic in the book to convince the Everton players that this is a game they can win. He may well be right as we all know that Moyes has created a decent team that is only just completely free from injury for the first time for years.

He just needs his key players like Neville, Cahill and Pienaar to pull their fingers out and put in the kind of performances we know they are all capable of. The turnaround is not so much a matter of if, but when and the sooner the better for the toffees.

Stoke will count themselves lucky if they manage to scrape a point from their trip to London. Every team in the premier league is capable of beating any other but after losing 2-1 to Spurs they will be in need of these points.

They will of course feel a little hard done by after they had a goal disallowed which was clearly over the line when played back in slow motion. That should make them feel a little better about taking on Chelsea this weekend.

Paul Konchesky should also start as the club is trying to tie him in to a new contract after interest from Liverpool with ex Fulham manger Roy Hodgson in charge there. The 29 year old would be a free agent next year but Liverpool are in desperate need of a left sided defender. Nobody at the club though would be keen on parting with someone of Konchesky’s talent.

Blackpool can only dream of having other clubs problems though but to say that the season is a failure after two games is foolish. It’s Even more foolish when you realise that one of those games was a memorable win in their first ever premiership fixture. In all fairness, Ian Holloway is more than capable of getting a solid performance out of players like Taylor-Fletcher and Harewood

Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United will welcome Avram Grant’s West Ham United to Old Trafford for the first meeting of these two teams this year. Manchester United will feel they were a little unlucky last week not to leave with all three points when Fulham nicked a draw towards the end of the game.

Paul Scholes seems to be the talk of every paper these days especially since the England manager has tried to tempt the veteran midfielder from retirement. Quite what that says for Gerrard, Lampard, Gareth Barry and the likes is anyone’s guess. What is obvious though is that the little talismanic player is critical to United’s hopes of winning the title this year.

After being billed as a probable bit part player this term, Scholes has shown he intends to be more involved and will probably start this game. As will the always improving Valencia and Nani. Dimitar Berbatov also seems to be more involved this time around which makes you wonder if he’s had a word in his ear about his work rate.

While Manchester are looking solid at the back they don’t appear to be the same threat without Wayne Rooney. They will have their fingers crossed that Hernandez will come good for them.

West Ham fans are not going to be looking forward to this game as they have zero points from their first two games. The Hammers lost 1-3 at home last week and 3-0 at Villa the week before. There are obvious problems with their defence that needs to be addressed.
